Dry eye disease is one of the most common—and most under-treated—conditions in eye care. Burning, grittiness, excessive tearing, and fluctuating vision are often caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), which is responsible for approximately 86% of dry eye cases.
At Middle Creek Eye Center, our dedicated Dry Eye Center provides advanced diagnostic testing and in-office treatments that are not commonly available at other practices in the region.
Advanced Dry Eye Treatment with the Envision™ Platform by InMode
Middle Creek Eye Center proudly offers the Envision™ system by InMode, an FDA-cleared treatment platform that combines two clinically proven technologies to treat dry eye at its source.
Forma-I Radiofrequency (RF) Thermal Therapy
Forma-I delivers precisely controlled radiofrequency energy to the meibomian glands in the eyelids, gently heating and releasing blocked gland secretions to restore the protective oily tear film, improve gland function, and reduce eyelid inflammation.
- Comfortable, non-invasive treatment
- No downtime
- Approximately 15–20 minutes per session
- Typical treatment plan includes four sessions spaced about three weeks apart
Lumecca-I Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy
Lumecca-I uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to target the abnormal superficial blood vessels responsible for ocular surface inflammation—the underlying cause of many cases of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and evaporative dry eye.
- Reduces inflammation affecting the tear film
- Supports healthier meibomian gland function
- Safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV
- Typically performed as four treatments spaced approximately three weeks apart
Patients should apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen to treated areas for three weeks following each treatment.
Many patients achieve the best results by combining both Forma-I RF and Lumecca-I IPL. Dr. Moore will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your diagnostic findings, symptom severity, and skin type.
Lumecca IPL for Facial Rejuvenation
In addition to treating dry eye disease, Lumecca-I can improve the appearance of facial skin by reducing:
- Sun damage and age spots
- Rosacea and facial redness
- Broken capillaries
- Uneven skin tone
Many patients notice healthier, more youthful-looking skin as an added benefit of their dry eye treatment series. Cosmetic treatments are also available upon request.
Comprehensive Dry Eye Evaluation
Before beginning treatment, Dr. Moore performs a comprehensive evaluation to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms. Your examination may include:
- Tear film assessment
- Meibomian gland evaluation
- Ocular surface examination
- Personalized treatment recommendations
